Flash Forward Incubator 2020
The theme for this year’s Flash Forward Incubator Program is “It’s A Plastic World”.
The theme for this year’s Flash Forward Incubator Program invites participants to think deeply about the statement “It’s a Plastic World” and to create photography- mixed media based projects that contemplate the impact of that statement. How is plastic made? How is it used, and where does it go when we’re done with it? Each submission will reflect the depth of the theme and its effect on the way we interact with one another and the world around us.
The Incubator Program’s unique training program includes: research, proposal writing, critical reviews, artist statements, and a formal submission process that mirrors the expectations of any festival, gallery show, or grant. Youth receive online community individualized mentorship in the development of their work and specialized training in arts, culture, and new media where their unique voices are empowered and a sense of belonging and inclusiveness is cultivated.
