Hello Magenta friends, hopefully May is treating you well! If you’re finding us here, we’d like to take the opportunity to share this info with you about Magenta Foundation and TD The Ready Commitment…
The Magenta Foundation’s Flash Forward Incubator Program builds an inclusive arts community that fosters diversity in our future leaders and art stars. It embodies the rich dynamic of our coast-to-coast program, making it a vibrant connected community that brings youth from diverse backgrounds together to share their unique voices with one another and all of us at large. Flash Forward Incubator is a key leader in fostering the future generation of visual artists in Canada.
Magenta is committed to cultivating the next generation of artists in Canada by giving youth their first public presentation and publication opportunity with access to key artistic and cultural communities. Creating this empowerment allows young people to elevate their talents and abilities for a future in the arts as cultural producers within and beyond their communities.
“TD launched The Ready Commitment, a global corporate citizenship platform aimed at opening doors to a more inclusive and sustainable tomorrow for all. As part of this platform, we are investing in initiatives that connect communities and create opportunities for everyone to participate and feel included. Flash Forward is an example of this vision; the program provides a platform for new artists to express themselves, amplifying their voices and building a new community of cultural leaders,” Stuart Keeler, Senior Curator & Manager, TD Bank Group, Corporate Citizenship
By supporting the Flash Forward Incubator Program, TD The Ready Commitment plays a vital role in helping Magenta foster the future generation of visual artist. Creating this empowerment allows young people to elevate their talents and abilities for a future in the arts as cultural producers within and beyond their communities. By working closely with local arts communities and by focusing on the early output of future practitioners, Magenta is committed to cultivating the next generation of artists through producing and exhibiting work that will potentially inform a lifelong practice.
Money generated by the Incubator Silent Auction continues to support the purchase of materials that directly impact youth learning and the overall growth of arts practices in schools. Taken together, the program and its unique funding model have had a significant impact on the quality of work the emerging artists are able to produce, improving attitudes, confidence, participation, and motivation in the arts and art-making, increasing the visibility of the work and voices of our youth.
We thank our Founding Sponsor TD The Ready Commitment for its ongoing support. We also look forward to the continued growth of the Flash Forward Incubator Program so that we can directly impact the future of the arts nationwide.
