It’s March! That means we’ve got a whole bunch of exciting stuff coming up right around the corner in April that we’re THRILLED to share with you.

First off, we hope to see you at Flash Forward Festival Boston from April 24 to May 3. If you’re on Facebook, “Like” our festival page and get updates and news about this event: facebook.com/flashforwardfestival, and feel free to share what you’re looking forward to, thoughts about the exhibitions and talks, or just come and say hello or tag a friend who might be interested.

It’s so difficult to pick highlights because everything is going to be SO awesome, but we’d be remiss if we didn’t say definitely check out the talk about Drone Photography by Tomas van Houtryve, Boston Irish by Bill Brett, a talk and exhibition, Flash Forward 10 at Gallery Kayafas and The Photoville Fence and six shipping containers with more art. Hook yourself up with our special Facebook page mentioned above to get all the details, or check out our Flash Forward Festival website.

We also are looking for volunteers. Last year we had a phenomenal team of over 50+ volunteers who were either Arts students, industry professionals, or just fans of photography. Sign up at flashforwardfestival.com/volunteer.

The second thing we wanted to put on your radar is our news from Pittsburgh. We’re getting our POP website ready for next week, but in the meantime, mark it down to come visit us in Pittsburgh for Magenta POP for the first of four shows this year. Our first show will feature the immense talents of Lori Hepner and Christine Lorenz. The exhibition will be at 937 Liberty Avenue as part of the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust Gallery Crawl. Opening is April 24th. 5:30 – 10pm. See you there!

Lastly, a reminder to get your ducks in a row and SUBMIT! There are only mere DAYS left for our two calls for entries. New England photography undergrads, this is your chance right here. And for the Photoville Fence, all the details and submission info is right here at fence.photoville.com.

See you soon, and good luck!

And it’s a wrap!

The fourth installment of Flash Forward Festival Boston at Fairmont Battery Wharf was a huge success and we’d like to thank everyone who joined us for our two weeks of exhibitions, celebrations and insightful industry programming! We are thrilled by the buzz, support and enthusiasm felt amongst members of the local and international photographic communities and the arts community at large in Boston. Year Four was the best festival to date and we have all of you to thank for that.

Flash Forward Festival is made possible each year, due to the phenomenal commitment of all our sponsors and supporters, first and foremost, our presenting sponsor TD Bank Group. At this time, we would also like to thank the Fairmont Battery Wharf for being the ultimate host and making everyone who attended the festival feel welcome.

It goes without saying that it takes a village to do what we do and we are ever grateful to our extraordinary team of dedicated volunteers. Thank you for donating your energy and passion to making Flash Forward Festival the success it was!!

Keep posted for all the event photos which will be on our site soon! Until then, take a look back at the fantastic line-up of industry speakers who were broadcast live with the help of Stearns Media Productions. Watch and share all the lectures here!
